Our Ministries

Everyone is created as a unique individual with different gifts and passions. One of our passions at Crown Point Community Church is helping people identify those areas of gifting and passion and then connecting them with areas and ministries where they can use these gifts.

Another passion at Crown Point Community Church is getting to know each other and our neighbours and neighbourhood. We genuinely want to know who people are and what their needs and desires are and then be able to respond.

Our ministries have been formed in response to needs and giftings that we have become aware of, both within our church and in our larger community. We continually seek God's guidance in knowing what we should do when.

Check out our ministries below and let us know if there is anywhere that you would be interested in being involved, either as a participant or in leadership!

  • The Giving Cupboard

The Giving Cupboard is a food pantry, stocked with non perishable staples for those in need in our neighbourhood.  Our hope is to help with 2-3 meals per month.  The Giving Cupboard is open every Wednesday from 12pm-2pm.  Our clients can come and shop once every calendar month, based on a points system.

  • The Giving Closet Thrift Shop

The Giving Closet Thrift Shop is a community ministry.  The store is located at 1162 Barton St. E. (across from Centre Mall).  All store profits are used to meet needs and create positive change in local neighbourhoods.   Click here if you would like more info or would like to volunteer.

  • Children's Ministry - Sunday Morning

We have a Sunday Morning Children's Ministry for kids from age 0-12.  Click here to learn more.

  • Crown Point Kids Club

Crown Point Kids Club has begun and runs every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30pm for children in Grade 1-6. Click here to learn more and to register.

  • Youth Ministry

We seek to encourage and empower our youth to love Jesus, love their neighbour, and be involved in their church and community.  Occasional youth events are planned to help connect the youth with our community.

  • Small Groups

Small groups give us a safe place where we can share, learn and journey together. Your group will challenge you to go deeper in your faith and in your relationships. Lunch and Learn is a four week series beginning on Sunday, March 1st after service.  We also have a small group series, Host the Presence by Bill Johnson.  This will run weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30pm from March 18th - May 6th.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the office.

  • Being A Family

We are happy to announce that our "Being a Family" series is well underway.  This is a wonderful opportunity to get know each other on a more personal basis and come together closely as the Family of God.  Our first outing at Williams Fresh Cafe was a hit and painting night is one to be remembered.  Our next opportunity will be on Thursday, March 12 from 7 - 8:30pm where we can enjoy a Worship and Prayer Night together.  Look forward to seeing everyone there!

  • Nimble Fingers

If you like to knit or crochet or would like to learn, plan to come to Nimble Fingers, Mondays from 1-3pm and/or 7-9pm.

  • CAMEO Ladies Group

CAMEO is back!  CAMEO stands for "Come And Meet Each Other".  Join the ladies on the second Wednesday of the month at 10am for an hour of Food, Friends and Fellowship.  Tea and coffee is served along with fresh fruit and baked goods.  All ladies are welcome.

  • Care & Visitation Ministry

We are meant to care for each other as the Church; the body of Christ. Volunteers in our Care & Visitation Ministry are matched with others in our church family.  They connect with them on a monthly basis (or more often), offering care, companionship and spiritual connection.

  • Service Sundays

On Service Sundays, we meet together for worship, but then instead of having a regular Sunday service, we go out together and serve our neighbourhood.  Past service activities have included retirement home hymn sings, alley cleanup, lawn care for neighbours, helping local businesses, handing out flowers and much more.
