Our Ministries

At Crown Point Community Church we want to continue to help our community during this time.  The Giving Cupboard will remain open on Wednesdays from 12 - 2pm for those who are in need of food.

Everyone is created as a unique individual with different gifts and passions. One of our passions at Crown Point Community Church is helping people identify those areas of gifting and passion and then connecting them with areas and ministries where they can use these gifts.

Another passion at Crown Point Community Church is getting to know each other and our neighbours and neighbourhood. We genuinely want to know who people are and what their needs and desires are and then be able to respond.

.

Our ministries have been formed in response to needs and giftings that we have become aware of, both within our church and in our larger community. We continually seek God's guidance in knowing what we should do when.

Check out our ministries below and let us know if there is anywhere that you would be interested in being involved, either as a participant or in leadership!

  • The Giving Cupboard

The Giving Cupboard is a food pantry, stocked with non perishable staples for those in need in our neighbourhood.  Our hope is to help with 2-3 meals per month.  The Giving Cupboard is open every Wednesday from 12pm-2pm.  Our clients can come and shop once every calendar month, based on a points system.

  • The Giving Closet Thrift Shop

The Giving Closet Thrift Shop is a community ministry.  The store is located at 1162 Barton St. E. (across from Centre Mall).  All store profits are used to meet needs and create positive change in local neighbourhoods.   Click here if you would like more info or would like to volunteer.

  • Children's Ministry - Sunday Morning

We have a Sunday Morning Children's Ministry for kids from age 0-12.  The Children's Ministry will start up again on Sunday, October 31st.  Click here to learn more.

  • Crown Point Kids Club

Crown Point Kids Club has runs every Tuesday night from 6:30-7:30pm for children in Grade 1-6. Click here to learn more and to register.  Kids Club will be on hold until further notice.  We will keep you posted with any updates.

  • Youth Ministry

We seek to encourage and empower our youth to love Jesus, love their neighbour, and be involved in their church and community.  Occasional youth events are planned to help connect the youth with our community.

  • Small Groups

Small groups give us a safe place where we can share, learn and journey together. Your group will challenge you to go deeper in your faith and in your relationships.  Pastor Jason's Bible Digest begins again on Tuesday, October 12 at 9am.  It will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and the links will be sent out accordingly.  It can also be found on YouTube for those that would like to watch.

  • Nimble Fingers

If you like to knit or crochet or would like to learn, plan to come to Nimble Fingers, Mondays from 1-3pm and/or 7-9pm.  Feel free to contact the church if you are interested. This is beginning again on Monday, October 18th.

  • CAMEO Ladies Group

CAMEO stands for "Come And Meet Each Other".  Join the ladies on the second Wednesday of the month at 10am for an hour of Food, Friends and Fellowship.  Tea and coffee is served along with fresh fruit and baked goods.  All ladies are welcome.  This will be on hold until further notice.

  • Care & Visitation Ministry

We are meant to care for each other as the Church; the body of Christ. Volunteers in our Care & Visitation Ministry are matched with others in our church family.  They connect with them on a monthly basis (or more often), offering care, companionship and spiritual connection.

  • Service Sundays

On Service Sundays, we meet together for worship, but then instead of having a regular Sunday service, we go out together and serve our neighbourhood.  Past service activities have included retirement home hymn sings, alley cleanup, lawn care for neighbours, helping local businesses, handing out flowers and much more.  Our services are online or at a capacity of 40 people plus the availability of family rooms.  If you would like to sign up, that can be done here:  www.eventbrite.ca.
